Job Title: Coating Supervisor

Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo & Rivers
Reports to: Head, Pipelines Development
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • This role is for a fast growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production and power.
  • The Coating Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all pipeline coating activities (mainline, field joint coating, bends, valves and tie-ins) to ensure corrosion protection systems meet project specifications, industry standards (ISO 21809, NACE, SSPC, ASTM) and client requirements.
  • The role covers surface preparation, coating application, inspection, repair and documentation of coating works during pipeline construction.

Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications, coating procedures, and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Plan daily coating activities (mainline coating, girth weld/field joint coating, bends and fittings)
  • Supervise surface preparation (grit blasting, cleaning, preheating) to specified standards.
  • Ensure correct application thickness, curing time and material usage.
  • Supervise field joint coating (FJC) activities after welding.

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or a degree/HND in any course.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
