Associates Consulting Limited – Our client is a fast-growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production and power.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fireman Cum Operator

Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo & Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Fireman Cum Operator will be responsible for fire prevention, emergency response, and ensuring the safety of personnel and assets within our facilities.
• This position requires proficiency in operating firefighting equipment, including fire trucks, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies in high-risk environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire prevention inspections and implement safety protocols.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergencies, performing firefighting and rescue operations.
• Operate and maintain firefighting equipment, including fire trucks.
• Document fire prevention activities, incidents, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders during emergencies.

Requirements

• A Degree or equivalent; firefighting certifications preferred.
• Previous experience as a firefighter, preferably in industrial settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
