We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Part-Time Lawyer (Litigation Specialist)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Part-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle civil and criminal litigation matters related to mining, construction, employment, and corporate disputes.
  • Represent the company in Nigerian courts (where required) or collaborate with external counsel.
  • Draft and review legal pleadings, motions, and court submissions.
  • Advise on dispute resolution strategies, including mediation, arbitration, and out-of-court settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian mining laws, labor regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Provide legal support for contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Requirements

  • LL.B / BL with active membership at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience (civil & criminal) in Nigeria.
  • Proven track record in handling mining, construction, or corporate-related disputes
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian court procedures, evidence law, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
  • Excellent oral advocacy, legal drafting, and case management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
