Job Title: Team Lead, Workforce Performance Management

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Grade: SBO – DM

Job objective

  • To strategically manage and improve all processes and activities involved in the performance management of the entire workforce of the Bank.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper and thorough alignment of Staff/function KPIs from the strategic level down to the tactical level of the workforce
  • Manage all communications relating to the appraisal process and ensure staff profiles are accurately captured in Infopool
  • Conduct performance assessment along agreed KPIs for the Directorates and Divisions
  • Co-ordinate the process of appraisals for all other staff
  • Continuously initiate and drive improvements to the bank’s appraisal process and performance management system
  • Assists with developing and implementing agency performance improvement plans.
  • Conduct research into established policy regarding performance management/appraisal practices.
  • Provide managers with standard steps they can take to correct employee conduct or performance issues.
  • Prepares a summary explanation of staff performance (e.g. staffing, succession planning, training, etc.) for management.
  • Administering online quizzes for staff development.
  • Analyse and prepare monthly reports for Executive Management
  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc sales staff performance reports

Recommended Key Performance Indicators

  • Performance Management System – Design and implement a robust Performance Management System in line with changing technology and organisational demands
  • KPI Setting and Cascading – For key roles – All Sales, Divisional Heads, Generic Roles • Ensure KPIs are up-to-date and in alignment with current Organisational goals and strategic objectives
  • Scheduled Appraisal – Deploy a fair and transparent bi-annual appraisal exercise within the stipulated timelines.
  • Change Management – Effectively liaising with relevant stakeholders to conduct pre- and post-appraisal / change management sessions
  • Performance Review – Reports to be delivered timely and as per set deadlines agreed with staff. ZERO tolerance for delay without justifiable reasons.

Requirements

  • First Degree in any relevant social science degree
  • MBA would be an advantage.
  • 10 years HR work experience, 3 of which must be in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive work experience in Performance Management
