We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team.
  • The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling bank statements, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist in preparing tax filings and audits
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform general administrative duties within the finance department
  • Collaborate with other departments for financial data collection and analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing one)
  • 0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience

Other Requirements:

  • Internship or practical experience in an accounting role.
  • Experience with data entry and document management systems.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
