Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide bold, forward-thinking leadership across all departments, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Policy Development & Implementation: Design and execute hospital-wide policies to enhance patient care, optimize workflows, and integrate cutting-edge medical practices.
  • Talent & Culture Building: Build and lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development.
  • Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure strict adherence to national and international healthcare standards, regulatory bodies, and accreditation requirements. • Financial Stewardship: Oversee hospital finances, budget planning, and resource allocation to ensure long-term sustainability and growth.
  • .Innovation & Modernization: Spearhead projects to upgrade hospital infrastructure, integrate medical technologies, and expand service offerings.
  • External Relations: Act as the hospital’s ambassador, engaging with government agencies, medical associations, and the broader healthcare community.

Key Qualifications
Medical Credentials:

  • MD or MBBS from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Postgraduate qualification registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Fellowship with a recognized Medical body (e.g., NPMCN, NAMed, Royal College of Physicians, American College of Surgeons, WACP, FWACP).
  • Minimum of 15 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in Hospital Administration.

Core Competencies:

  • Visionary Leadership: Proven ability to inspire team, drive change, and create a high- performance culture.
  • Strategic Execution: Expertise in developing and implementing hospital-wide strategies to improve patient care and institutional performance. Governance and Compliance: Deep understanding of healthcare governance, regulatory frameworks, and institutional oversight.
  • Financial & Resource Management: Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and optimizing hospital resources.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to engage diverse stakeholders from frontline healthcare workers to government agencies and global partners.
