Job Summary

  • The Bar Man is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
  • This role requires strong knowledge of drinks, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized bar area.
  • The ideal candidate will be a friendly, efficient, and reliable professional with a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Beverage Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when requested.
  • Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean and hygienic bar area at all times. This includes washing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring all tools are sanitized.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes. Report low stock levels and assist with restocking.
  • Cash Handling: Process customer payments, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND
  • 2 – 4 years proven experience as a Bar Man or in a similar role within a hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of classic and contemporary drink recipes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A professional and friendly attitude.
  • Knowledge of mixology and beverage trends is a plus.
