Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Abuja
Job Summary
- The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of construction activities on-site across our estate projects.
- The role will involve stage-by-stage inspections, tracking milestones, verifying compliance with standards, and ensuring that all construction work meets regulatory and company quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality and progress.
- Verify that all work complies with regulatory standards, codes, and specifications.
- Monitor and report project milestones and stage completions.
- Identify and address quality control issues, defects, or deviations.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and project managers to enforce quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation and inspection reports.
- Recommend corrective actions where non-conformances are identified.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and company policies on all sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification/membership with COREN or CORBON is required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Quality Engineer in construction or estate development.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues on-site.
