Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing contracts, monitoring budgets, and ensuring value for money in construction projects (financial management).
  • The role includes conducting feasibility studies, preparing reports, advising clients on cost and risk, and ensuring projects comply with professional and regulatory standards while meeting client expectations.
  • The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
  • Manage project budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Monitor construction costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost advice throughout projects.
  • Prepare valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
  • Advise on claims, risks, and dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulators.

Requirements and Skills

  • B.Sc Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • 5 –10 years’ proven experience in cost estimation, contracts, and project financial control.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and QS software (e.g., CostX, QS Cad, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Membership of NIQS & registration with QSRBN (or in progress) is an added advantage.

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 monthly.
