Women Radio 91.7 is a female-centric Radio station for Women, children and their families. We aim to continue to create more female-centric programmes that will amplify the voice of women and foster national development.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales and Communications Intern 

Locations: Lagos and Arepo – Ogun
Employment Type: Internship (6 Months)

Job Summary

  • We are currently accepting applications for a 6-month Sales/Communications Internship opportunity!
  • Are you passionate about media, sales, and making a real impact? Are you a self-starter with strong communication skills and a desire to learn the ropes of radio advertising and client engagement? This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic media environment that champions women’s voices and stories.

Role Overview
As a Sales/Comms Intern, you will:

  • Learn to create proposals and follow up on leads.
  • Learn to create compelling content for social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Gain a deep understanding of media sales and revenue generation strategies
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to learn how to make creative sponsorship pitches
  • Participate in marketing campaigns and promotional events
  • Support the sales team in client relationship management
  • Help prepare sales materials and presentations

Requirements

  • Recent graduate of a relevant field.
  • Strong interest in radio, media, and sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
