We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Truck Driver

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Lagos, Ogun and Calabar – Cross River

Job Description

  • As a truck driver, you are responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of commercial vehicles, transporting goods over various distances.
  • Key duties include pre-trip inspections, route planning, secure loading and unloading of cargo, adherence to safety regulations and schedules, and accurate record-keeping. Effective communication with dispatchers and customers is also a crucial part of the role.

Vehicle Operations & Maintenance:

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles: Drive trucks or other large vehicles to transport goods according to specified routes and schedules.
  • Perform inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues, check for safety hazards, and ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
  • Maintain cleanliness: Keep the truck clean and well-maintained.
  • Report issues: Document and report any defects, maintenance needs, or mechanical problems to management or dispatchers.

Logistics & Delivery:

  • Plan routes: Develop efficient routes that consider traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety regulations, including traffic laws and the proper use of safety equipment.
  • Communicate with customers: Obtain signatures for deliveries and maintain courteous interaction with customers and other road users.
