Job Title: Baker

Location: Kubwa, Gwarimpa – Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience creating high-quality breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in a fast-paced environment such as a bakery, hotel, restaurant, or catering establishment.
  • You will be responsible for producing consistent products, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and supporting innovation in our bakery offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery items according to recipes and production schedules.
  • Develop new recipes and innovate products that meet customer preferences and seasonal trends.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, taste, and presentation at all times.
  • Monitor and manage ingredient inventory; ensure proper storage and rotation of raw materials.
  • Ensure accurate measurement and portion control to minimize waste and manage costs.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the bakery area.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain baking equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work closely with management to plan production, forecast demand, and meet daily targets.
  • Train and mentor junior bakery staff, where necessary.
  • Collaborate with restaurant and retail teams to align bakery output with business needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) as a Baker in a bakery, hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work with precision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Creativity and willingness to innovate with recipes and product presentations.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long hours.
  • Certification or training in baking/pastry arts is an added advantage.

Salary
N150,000 monthly (negotiable, based on experience and skill level)
