Job Description

  • We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth running of our hotel kitchen.
  • The ideal candidate will assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • This role is essential for keeping kitchen operations efficient and organized.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking tools promptly and properly.
  • Receive, unpack, and store food supplies in designated areas following proper storage procedures.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste safely and in compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Refill kitchen stock (spices, ingredients, utensils) as directed by the Chef or Cook.
  • Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by running errands or carrying out quick prep tasks.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
