We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lead Facility Manager
Location: Abuja
Role Description
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple high-end commercial sites in Abuja. Ensure operational excellence, strict compliance with PPE and work ethics standards, and premium service delivery to premium clients.
- Drive performance, safety, client satisfaction, and cost efficiency while developing team capability for scalable growth.
- Will supervise site supervisors, technicans, and HSE Officers. Will also handle budget management, optimize resource allocation, develop maintenance schedules, and implement energy management plans.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple commercial facilities (hard and soft services).
- Implement standard operating procedures, preventive maintenance plans, and service level adherence.
- Monitor KPIs (uptime, response/resolution times, PPM compliance, HSE metrics, client satisfaction).
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as primary point of contact for premium/high-value clients; manage expectations and contracts.
- Conduct regular review meetings, present performance dashboards, and drive continuous improvement plans.
- Coordinate with vendors, external and internal stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE):
- Enforce PPE compliance, safe work practices, permit-to-work, and statutory requirements.
- Lead incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Champion safety culture through toolbox talks, audits, and periodic drills.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead Site Supervisors and site teams with clear goals, accountability, and coaching.
- Plan manpower, schedules, and succession; oversee onboarding and ongoing training.
- Foster a culture of discipline, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Technical & Operational Excellence:
- Ensure reliability of critical assets (power, HVAC, fire systems, water, vertical transport).
- Review asset condition reports and optimize maintenance strategies (PPM, PdM, CM).
- Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives; track consumption and cost savings.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation: SOPs, SLAs, risk assessments, asset registers, and logs.
- Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports and budgets; manage CAPEX/OPEX within targets.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client policies, and company standards.
Continuous Improvement & Projects:
- Identify operational gaps; implement structured improvement projects with clear ROI.
- Support mobilization of new sites and transitions, ensuring seamless handovers and service continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field; advanced certification preferred (e.g., IFMA, BIFM, NEBOSH/IOSH).
- 7–10+ years in facilities management with at least 3 years leading multi-site commercial operations.
- Proven experience serving premium commercial and/or public sector clients while meeting strict SLAs.
- Strong knowledge of HSE compliance, PPE enforcement, and facility systems.
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making.
