Cropsafe Agro Services is a high-impact agricultural social enterprise dedicated to reducing post-harvest losses and improving food security. Through our innovative agricultural franchise model, we empower smallholder farmers and rural women with pre- and post-harvest management solutions, including finance, processing, and value addition.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance Officer

Location: Ilorin, Kwara 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • The Maintenance Officer will handle routine checks, repairs, and troubleshooting of factory machines used in oil processing and related operations.
  • You’ll work independently, keep accurate maintenance logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on factory machines and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or utility-related faults
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend long-term fixes for recurring issues
  • Maintain proper records of checks, repairs, and spare parts usage
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed during operations and repairs
  • Escalate complex faults to senior engineers or supervisors when necessary
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • Basic technical training or apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical maintenance or related field
  • Hands-on experience maintaining industrial or factory machinery (preferably in agro-processing, oil refining, FMCG, or related industries)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with safety practices, use of PPE, and maintenance checklists
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced factory environment.
