We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technician – Ginning Machine Maintenance (Expatriate)

Locations: Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Zamfara, Gombe, and Jigawa
Employment Type: Full-time
Joining: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor the full ginning process, from seed cotton feeding to bale formation, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Perform routine and corrective mechanical maintenance of ginning machines to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise electrical maintenance activities, including upkeep of generators and compressors.
  • Track, document, and resolve all repair and breakdown issues, maintaining accurate maintenance logs.
  • Plan and execute annual mechanical and electrical maintenance schedules for production and utility machinery.
  • Prepare annual procurement lists for imported items needed for season-end maintenance.
  • Monitor technical items sent outside for repair or modification and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Manage issuance of spare parts and consumables from stores to support operations.
  • Conduct regular monthly inventory of technical spares, maintain accurate records, and raise timely requisitions to avoid stock shortages.

Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) with 6-10 years experience.
  • ITI in Mechanical Engineering from a government-approved institute in India, or a minimum of 12th pass.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a cotton ginning factory, with 5–6 years of direct hands-on experience in independent ginning machine maintenance.
  • Age: Below 45 years.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of ginning machine operations, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to handle preventive and corrective maintenance independently.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong record-keeping and inventory management ability.
  • Ability to supervise support staff and coordinate with production teams effectively.

Salary
N500,000 – N900,000 / Month.
