We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the School’s facilities management practices are in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
• Conduct routine inspection of all facilities and infrastructure to ascertain their state and working conditions.
• Oversee the coordination of the activities of maintenance staff (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.)
• Ensure timely and adequate repairs and maintenance of all faulty equipment and facilities.
• Supervise the execution of all routine maintenance, renovations, refurbishment, and building projects.
• Maintain a continuous supply of all utility services, in particular, electricity generation and adequate water supply to the School.
• Manage energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Liaise with the Procurement and Stores Management function to ensure required items are sourced and procured promptly.
• Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and Requirements.
• Prepare a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and adhere strictly to the schedule
• Proactively initiate and maintain good relationships with all utility vendors
• Ensure that all staff adhere to the school’s policies regarding the use of its facilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, of which at least two (2) must have been at a supervisory capacity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of staff, guests, and vendors
• Credentials in health and safety training.
• Excellent people skills
• Outstanding organisational skills
• Availability to work extended hours on occasion.
