Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled, genuinely patriotic, loyal and physically capable Security Officer (Bodyguard) to provide close protection and ensure the safety of our principal in both professional and personal settings.
  • The ideal candidate will not only be a protector but also a trusted team member who upholds discretion, discipline, and absolute loyalty at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide close personal protection for the principal in all environments including professional, political, business, and social.
  • Maintain constant situational awareness and proactively identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Safely escort and secure the principal during travel, meetings, and public engagements.
  • Operate and maintain security equipment, surveillance systems, and communication apparatus.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, private security networks, and security agencies wherenecessary.
  • Continuously build strong contacts and networks nationwide.
  • Conduct advance reconnaissance of venues and travel routes to ensure safety and minimize risk.
  • Preserve confidentiality and exercise the highest level of discretion at all times.

Requirements

  • Height: Minimum of 6 ft 2 in (188 cm).
  • Physical Build: Preferably fit, bulky, and imposing, with the stamina to manage extended security duties.
  • Physical location: Applicants should preferably reside within Victoria Island and surrounding suburbs (Lagos Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, Yaba).
  • Energy & Endurance: Must be energetic, alert, and capable of working long and irregular hours.
  • Knowledge of Security Apparatus: Proficiency in security systems, surveillance tools, defensive tactics, and protective driving.
  • Familiarity with Nigeria’s Business & Political Environment: Strong understanding of the socio-political landscape, security risks, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Personal Qualities: Dedicated, patriotic, passionate, humane, progressive, discreet, and loyal.
  • Experience: Prior experience in executive protection, military, law enforcement, or elite private security preferred.

  • Excellent judgment and quick decision-making under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
  • Emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with VIPs and stakeholders.
  • Non-smoker and free of habits that may compromise alertness or judgment.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license a plus but not mandatory (armored vehicle knowledge also a plus).
  • First Aid/CPR certification and crisis management training are desirable.
