We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Company Accountant

Location: Egbeda, Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Financial Records:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
• Record and manage all day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Ensure that all bank accounts, receivables and payables ledgers are reconciled monthly.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Generate management accounts and present financial insights to the leadership team.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audits.

Fraud Detection and Risk Management:

• Ensure preparation of bank reconciliation statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

• Assist in budget preparation for the organization.
• Provide sound financial advice to optimize costs and improve profitability.

Requirements

• Candidate should be between the age of 35 and above and must possess a BSc. Degree or HND in Accounting from a reputable institution of higher learning, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Adequate background training in a firm of Chartered Accountants/ success in the early stage of ICAN will be an added advantage.
