Job Title: Site Architect

Job Description

  • We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Site Architect to oversee architectural implementation on various building projects within Abuja and beyond.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between design and execution, ensuring that architectural concepts are translated into precise, high-quality structures that align with design intent and project objectives.
  • This role requires an architect who is not only technically skilled but also adept at on-site coordination, design detailing, and real-time problem-solving. You will manage site-based design reviews, monitor construction progress, and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to maintain design quality, functionality, and visual appeal.
  • The Site Architect will play an integral part in every project phase from pre-construction meetings to handoverensuring that materials, finishes, and spatial planning meet both aesthetic and structural standards.
  • The ideal candidate must be passionate about architecture, capable of managing multiple site activities simultaneously, and committed to upholding Joternam Limited’s vision of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise architectural activities and ensure design accuracy during construction.
  • Interpret, review, and enforce architectural drawings, specifications, and detailing.
  • Collaborate with structural and MEP engineers to ensure design compatibility.
  • Prepare, review, and modify shop drawings, sketches, and 3D visualizations as needed.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, material integrity, and adherence to design.
  • Identify and resolve design-related challenges promptly.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth communication and approvals.
  • Provide design input and value engineering recommendations during construction.
  • Maintain documentation of progress reports, drawings, and site records.
  • Uphold safety, environmental, and design standards on all project sites.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural design and site supervision.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and other rendering or visualization tools.
  • Excellent understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and finishing standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Registration with ARCON or registration in progress is an advantage.
