Job Description

  • Our client seeks to engage a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join its project team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing construction projects, ensuring quality control, structural integrity, and compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
  • The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and supervise construction and structural projects from start to completion.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to contractors and project teams.
  • Liaise with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage materials, resources, and project budgets efficiently.
  • Prepare progress reports and provide updates to management on project milestones.
  • Identify and resolve engineering or construction-related issues promptly.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • HND, B.Eng, or B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in building construction, structural works, or real estate development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering design software.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and supervise contractors effectively.
  • Membership of a recognized professional body such as COREN or NSE will be an added advantage.
  • Must possess integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
