Job Title: Truck Driver Trainer

Summary

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and disciplined Truck Driver Trainer to join our logistics team.
  • The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of truck operations, driver behavior, and road safety standards, with the ability to train, mentor, and evaluate drivers for optimum performance and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions for truck drivers on safe driving techniques, vehicle handling, and company operational procedures.
  • Assess drivers’ skills through on-road tests and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Enforce adherence to company safety policies, traffic laws, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Develop and implement driver training manuals and refresher courses.
  • Work closely with the Fleet and HR departments to ensure continuous driver development and discipline.
  • Prepare training reports, performance evaluations, and recommendations for management review.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 20 years’ experience as a professional truck driver or driver trainer in a logistics or haulage company.
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and Nigerian road regulations.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coach, discipline, and motivate drivers effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
