Job Title: History Teacher

Location: Idanre, Ondo

Position Summary

  • Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced History Teacher to join their academic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore world events, cultures, and societies with curiosity and critical understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in History following both Nigerian and British curricula (WAEC, IGCSE).
  • Foster analytical thinking, discussion, and research among students.
  • Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and achievements.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment programs in the humanities department.
  • Encourage students to connect historical knowledge to current global issues and civic responsibility.
  • Participate in school events, academic meetings, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ teaching experience in a reputable secondary or international school.
  • Strong knowledge of British (IGCSE) and Nigerian curricula.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in modern teaching methods and educational technology.
  • A passion for mentoring young learners and promoting global awareness.

Mode of Work:

  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Physical presence required during school hours and official activities.
