We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist would be responsible for leading and executing the end-to-end recruitment strategies to attract, assess, and onboard qualified talents and skilled workers based on project recruitment, this includes managing workforce planning, talent sourcing, mobilization, and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement tailored talent acquisition process aligned with project needs and manpower forecasts.
  • Partner with project managers, line managers (Engineering, Construction, HSE, QA/QC, etc.), and contractors to define manpower needs for each project phase.

Talent Sourcing & Selection:

  • Lead sourcing initiatives for project-specific roles (engineering, fabrication, procurement, site construction, commissioning, etc.).
  • Conduct competency-based interviews and assessments with project managers

Workforce Mobilization:

  • Coordinate pre-employment documentation and onboarding logistics.
  • Monitor mobilization schedules to meet construction milestones.

Employer Branding & Stakeholder Management:

  • Promote the project as an employer of choice through targeted communication and branding campaigns.
  • Partner with other team members to enhance candidate engagement and retention.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate manpower dashboards and recruitment trackers.
  • Generate weekly/monthly recruitment status reports and present them to project management.
  • Monitor key metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, mobilization rate, attrition rate).

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor the recruitment team, ensuring alignment with HR best practices and project ethics.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Performance Indicators

  • Recruitment cycle time and position fill rate
  • Compliance with the project manpower plan
  • Cost-per-hire and retention rate
  • Quality of hire and mobilization efficiency
  • Stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent preferred.
  • 10–20 years HR/Talent Acquisition experience, with at least 5 years in construction or oil & gas projects.
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume technical and field recruitment.

Skills:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
