Job Title: LPG Station / Filling Plant Manager
Location: Onitsha, Anambra State, South East
Department: Operations / Retail
Reports To: Group Head, South East
Role Summary
- The LPG Station/Filling Plant Manager is responsible for the overall safe, compliant, and profitable operation of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) facility.
- This includes managing daily filling/dispensing operations, ensuring strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, maintaining asset integrity, and supervising all station personnel and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce safety regulations and manage the Permit-to-Work system for all site activities.
- Lead emergency preparedness efforts, conduct incident investigations, and liaise with regulatory bodies before and during audits.
- Supervise LPG filling and dispensing operations, ensuring equipment is maintained according to a preventive schedule.
- Manage facility security, including access control and monitoring of high-risk areas.
- Monitor bulk LPG stock levels and coordinate timely deliveries to avoid shortages.
- Reconcile inventory daily and maintain cylinder accountability, including segregation of defective units.
- Drive sales performance, manage pricing strategies, and ensure high-quality customer service.
- Oversee cash handling, control expenses, and manage staff recruitment, training, and performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing an LPG/petroleum facility or a similar high-risk industrial plant.
- Demonstrable knowledge of LPG safety codes and local regulatory compliance (Relevant National standards).
- Proven leadership skills with a strong commitment to HSE and excellent people management abilities.
