Fiberglass by Dipsy is a fabrication/manufacturing company that deals in both the fabrication and sales of fiberglass items such as planters pots used for interior decoration in different sizes, shapes and designs, swimming pools, furnitures, fountains, storagetanks and every items that can be fabricated with fiberglass.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Industrial Chemist

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Industrial Chemist will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing chemical formulations used in the production of fiberglass-reinforced products, resins, body fillers, and related materials.
• The role involves ensuring product quality, consistency, and safety in line with company standards and industrial best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and test formulations for resins, catalysts and body fillers.
• Monitor and control chemical mixing and curing processes in production.
• Conduct quality assurance tests on raw materials and finished products.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate mixing ratios and safe handling of chemicals.
• Maintain laboratory records and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
• Research and recommend improvements to product performance, durability, and cost efficiency.
• Support production troubleshooting and advise on material substitutions when necessary.
• Stay updated with advancements in industrial chemistry, polymer science, and FRP technology.

Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Industrial Chemistry or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in chemical formulation or production (resins, catalyst, body filler and the rest).
• Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and material behavior.
• Ability to perform lab testing and interpret chemical data accurately.
• Good communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Salary
N350,000 – N400,000 Monthly.
