We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Delivery: Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other items to specified locations promptly and securely.
  • Route planning: Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize delivery times.
  • Documentation: Obtain signatures, confirmations, or collect payments upon delivery.
  • Vehicle maintenance: Ensure the assigned vehicle is in good working condition and that all vehicle documents are up to date.
  • Safety: Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and drive safely at all times.
  • Record keeping: Update logbooks and report on all matters related to the assigned motorcycle to a supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: An SSCE / WAEC qualification or higher is often the minimum educational requirement.
  • Valid license: Must possess a valid rider’s/driver’s card or license.
  • Experience: A minimum of one to two years of experience is often required.
  • Knowledge of routes: Must be familiar with local roads, often specified by city (e.g., Lagos routes).
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Personal attributes: Must be punctual, reliable, honest, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Physical fitness: Able to handle the physical demands of the job, which may include long hours.
  • Communication: Good communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and supervisors.
