Job Description

Dogan’s Sugar Limited was incorporated in July 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria, as a European-invested company with the will to produce quality sugar products in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Trailer (DAF) Driver

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Driver will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods across various locations in Nigeria.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Class G driver’s license issued in Nigeria.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving heavy-duty trailers/trucks.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian road networks, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to complete long-distance hauls with alertness and discipline.
  • Proven track record of safe driving with minimal accident history.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle repairs or emergencies.
  • Good communication.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of long driving hours.
  • Must have integrity, reliability, and strong attention to detail.
  • Inspect vehicles daily before trips to ensure roadworthiness, proper documentation, and compliance with company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, waybills, and logbooks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with traffic laws, federal/state road regulations, and company driving policies.
  • Report mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents immediately to the operations supervisor.
  • Adhere strictly to delivery schedules while prioritizing safety.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks such as oil, water, and tyre inspections.
