Job Title: Accountant

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The ideal candidates should possess hands-on experience in accounting and have a strong understanding of financial principles. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable/Creditors/suppliers, receivable/ Debtors and ensuring timely payment and receipts.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve financial performance;
• Provide reports : monthly, quarterly, annually and management reports when required;
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Any other job that may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• A Degree / HND or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred;
• Candidates with cognitive experience in a Rice mill, manufacturing, supplies and distribution companies would have an edge;
• Proficient in Accounting software/ERP;
• Professional certification like ICAN etc. will be an additional advantage;
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulation, and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
