We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decisions.
  • The ideal candidate must be experienced in corporate accounting, payroll management, tax compliance, and cost analysis, preferably within the food, hospitality, or FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including posting of transactions and reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, management accounts, and monthly reports.
  • Handle payroll computation, statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc.), and remittances.
  • Monitor and maintain records of receivables, payables, and petty cash.
  • Track daily sales, expenses, and cash flow across all departments and outlets.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct monthly and annual financial reconciliations, including bank and supplier accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and tax regulations in line with Nigerian Labour and FIRS laws.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies when necessary.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for financial efficiency and cost control.
  • Maintain organized records of all financial documents and support internal audits.
  • Oversee and support junior accounting staff when required.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of proven experience as an Accountant (preferably in food, retail, or hospitality sectors).
  • ICAN/ACCA qualification (in view or completed) is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax laws, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Work Schedule:

  • 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)
  • Working hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • May be required to work on weekends or public holidays during audit or reporting periods.

  • Salary:N250,000 – N300,000 / month
