Genesis Group is a hospitality and entertainment conglomerate specializing in providing exceptional dining, leisure, and lifestyle experiences through its diverse portfolio of quick service restaurants, hotels, cinemas, and event services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Accounts

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire accounting function, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and statutory compliance.
  • Consolidate financials from multiple outlets and ensure accurate, timely reporting of daily sales, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Partner with operations to monitor food cost, wastage, and store-level expenses — ensuring adherence to budget and profitability targets.
  • Prepare and present monthly management reports, highlighting trends, risks, and actionable insights.
  • Oversee audit processes, taxation, and regulatory filings.
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls across cash handling, vendor payments, and inventory management.
  • Evaluate financial systems and processes; recommend and drive automation or technology solutions where possible.
  • Develop and mentor the accounting team to build a high-performing, detail-driven finance function.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • 5 – 10 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role ideally within the QSR, hospitality, or retail sector.
  • Strong command over restaurant P&L, cost of goods sold (COGS), and outlet-level financial operations.
  • Proven experience working with POS systems, inventory software, and accounting ERPs (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle NetSuite).
  • Sharp analytical skills and an eye for operational detail.
  • A proactive mindset someone who spots inefficiencies and acts before they become issues.
