Job Title: Legal Associate

Job Summary
- The Legal Associate will provide legal services, legal research, drafting, and client advisory services to the firm.
- The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex legal matters.
- With at least 3 years post-call and active practive experience, the Associate is expected to handle cases, draft legal documents, manage client’s properties and represent clients in court with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Take client’s brief, conduct legal research, draft court processes and represent client in court.
- Engage in Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms.
- Represent clients in court and arbitration proceedings
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Engage in the registration with relevant regulatory bodies, application and renewal of legal licenses and permits.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- Provide advisory services to clients on regulatory, commercial, and compliance matters.
- Engage in litigation strategy and case management.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of case materials.
- Support senior lawyers/partners in complex transactions and disputes.
- Maintain client relationships and ensure timely communication.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation, case law, and industry practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university and B.L.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm.
- Strong knowledge of litigation practices, corporate/commercial law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal research tools.
