An indigenous oil and gas company is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ICT / Computer Officer

Location:Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

  • The ICT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT systems, hardware, and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring network and data security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide technical support and resolve user issues promptly.
  • Manage servers, network switches, routers, and backup systems.
  • Monitor system performance and security, ensuring data integrity.
  • Support staff in using Microsoft Office, email systems, and business applications.
  • Maintain IT inventory and documentation.
  • Assist with system upgrades, new technology integration, and IT training for staff.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for maintenance and procurement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Sc. or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of data backup, antivirus, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
