JIJEDAPT Human Resources Consult Limited – Our client is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant (ICAN-certified and Female) 

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • The ideal candidate must be ICAN-certified and possess strong analytical and organizational skills to support financial decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory financial requirements.
  • Support budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Conduct internal financial audits and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • ICAN certification is mandatory.
  • 5 – 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Female applicants only (for Gender Balance)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration

  • Attractive and commensurate with experience.
  • Only open to Abuja residents.
  • The company will reimburse transport fare (to and from) as well as accommodation costs for shortlisted candidates attending the interview (Flight fares are not inclusive).
