Job Title: Auditor

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for an Auditor with proven experience in auditing stocks to join our audit team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting stock audits, reviewing inventory management processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• The role involves working closely with various departments to identify risks, improve processes, and ensure accurate stock management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular stock audits, verifying physical inventory counts against recorded balances, and investigating discrepancies.
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of inventory management processes, internal controls, and stock handling procedures.
• Identify areas of risk and recommend improvements to internal controls and processes to prevent stock losses, inaccuracies, or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to reconcile stock discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on actions taken by management.
• Conduct ad-hoc investigations into stock-related issues as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management and stock audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of stock management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field
• 2 – 4 years of experience in auditing, with specific experience in stock auditing or inventory management audits.
• Proven experience in conducting physical inventory counts, stock reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in audit software and tools is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / Month.
