Job Summary
- The Cake Baker & Designer will lead the Confectionery Department, responsible for baking and designing high-quality cakes and desserts that meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- The role requires strong expertise in modern cake decoration, creativity in menu development, and the ability to manage production while leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Bake and decorate cakes and desserts using standard and custom recipes
- Create custom designs for birthdays, weddings, events, and special orders
- Oversee daily confectionery production and ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery
- Develop creative cake designs and seasonal dessert offerings
- Supervise, train, and guide confectionery staff
- Manage inventory, cost control, and minimize waste
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through product quality and presentation.
Education & Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE (professional baking / decorating training is an advantage)
- Proven experience in cake baking and decoration (portfolio required)
- Strong buttercream and fondant skills
- Creative, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak periods.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
