Associates Consulting Limited – Our client, a Fast-growing Indigenous Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Oil and Gas Group, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Construction Engineer (Pipeline)

Locations: Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta & Imo
Reports to: Head of Pipelines Development
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Construction Engineer will be a mid-engineer position to carry out piping installation projects and capable to interpret all types of critical piping drawings.
• He will be assisting with various fabrication and erection contractors and working closely with the Construction Manager.
• This position is responsible for ensuring the safe execution of the Piping project.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate QA / QC standards, procedures and specifications are in place during the construction/execution activities.
• Identify opportunities and actions for the continued improvement of project quality and progress.
• Track, report project progress and quality.
• Attend the weekly progress meetings (internal as well as with HQ) assist in preparation of minutes of meetings.
• Coordinate with all projects related personnel on day-to-day progress of work activities, procurement and operations to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Responsible for liaising with other departments for permit to work system and job front requirements

Requirements

• A B.Sc. / HND graduate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 9 years experience or a Diploma in engineering with 13 years hands-on experience in construction in the Oil and Gas Sector (Upstream, Refinery, Fertilizers) in the field of Plant Piping and Pipelines project.
