Job Title: Company Driver

Location: Abuloma, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of meat, food items, and other essential supplies from vendors/procurement sources to the company warehouse, and for distributing finished goods and supplies to client companies.
• The role ensures proper handling of perishable goods, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and supports smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport meat, food products, and other supplies from vendors to company facilities.
• Deliver goods to client companies, ensuring accuracy of delivery according to invoices/waybills.
• Load and unload items carefully, ensuring proper handling of perishable goods in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip sheets, and fuel consumption records.
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and in good working condition; promptly report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to company policies, road safety regulations, and traffic laws at all times.
• Assist in verifying the quality and quantity of procured items during pick-up and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Uphold the company’s image through professional conduct and excellent customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE / OND certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.This is very necessary
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in FMCG, logistics, or food supply.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and local routes.
• Ability to handle perishable goods with care and follow hygiene standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/load items when necessary.
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Must reside around Abuloma, Trans Amadi or Peter Odili.
• Should be able to drive a manual car.

Salary
N20,000 – N50,000 / Month.
