Greenville LNG Company Limited is the pioneer Domestic LNG producer in Nigeria with the objective of extending gas supplies to regions not reached by gas pipelines thereby making available a competitive source of energy to boost the economy. Greenville LNG Plant is in Rumuji near Port-Harcourt and has customer locations in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Enugu, Sokoto, Aba and other cities nationwide.

About the Job

  • Oversee the daily production schedule for Bitumen Emulsion, Supergrade G, and Polymer Modified Bitumen.
  • Optimize production processes to maximize output, minimize waste, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage raw material inventory (bitumen, polymers, crumb rubber, emulsifiers, additives), ensuring adequate supply and efficient consumption.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Control to ensure all products meet specifications.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance program for all bitumen plant machinery and infrastructure.
  • Oversee the execution of all maintenance activities, including corrective repairs, overhauls, installations, and calibrations, specifically for equipment handling hot and viscous materials.
  • Manage spare parts inventory for critical components, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure a proactive safety culture, ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment, including bitumen tanks, reactors, mixers, mills, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler systems, filtration units, and loading/unloading facilities.
  • Responsible for logistics/Bitumen heating/dispatches from the plant.
  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned by management from time to time

Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Bitumen Plant, Asphalt plant and Road construction
  • Organized with the ability to change priorities as needed
  • Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team.
  • Must have good technical, planning and communication skills.

Must have skills:

  • Supergrade G knowledge
  • Bitumen Emulsion knowledge
  • HSE Leadership skills
  • Quality Control Skills
  • Production Optimisation skills
  • Logistics and Inventory management skills
  • Polymer Modified Bitumen knowledge.
