Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Food FMCG)

Location: Yola, Adamawa

Job Summary

  • We are recruiting for an experienced and goal-oriented Area Sales Manager for our client to drive sales performance, distribution, and brand visibility for a leading FMCG company in Sokoto.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the Northern market and proven success managing teams and achieving targets in the FMCG space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales targets and ensure consistent performance across the assigned territory
  • Supervise and support field sales representatives
  • Develop effective route-to-market strategies
  • Identify and onboard new distributors and monitor their performance
  • Maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors
  • Ensure the availability and visibility of products in the market
  • Conduct regular market visits to gather intelligence and ensure compliance
  • Analyze sales trends, forecasts, and prepare timely reports
  • Train and motivate sales team members for optimum performance
  • Ensure adherence to company pricing and credit policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in sales (preferably in Food FMCG)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing a sales team within a designated territory
  • Strong knowledge of the Northern market, especially Adamawa and its environs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Salary
N350,000 – N400,000(Net) Monthly.
