Geoaudits – Our client in the hospitality industry is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will manage all accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support the organization’s overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and bank statements.
• Oversee daily financial transactions, including billing, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and statutory remittances ( PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, etc.).
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor cash flow and advise management on cost control and financial efficiency.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all accounting records.
• Collaborate with management to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 – 5 years experience in accounting, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• ICAN or ACCA certification (in view or completed) is an added advantage.
