Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos

The Role

• This role is exciting, positively challenging, and will provide growth to the prospective role holder.
• The ideal role holder is a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant who has expertise in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy across all accounting functions.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management, reconciliation, inventory tracking, and financial analysis while also establishing and improving accounting processes.
• He/she must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop structures that support efficient financial operations.
• Most importantly, in line with our standards, he/she should be committed, hard-working, and particular about delivering quality work.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
These include, but are not limited to:

• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Track and manage inventory records, ensuring proper valuation and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to support management decision-making.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and proper financial documentation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and maintain accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Support audit processes by providing required documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Support end-to-end supply chain activities with financial management and resource optimization.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements
What you need to succeed:

• 3+ years of hands-on Finance experience
• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
• A member of a professional body, e.g., ACA, ACCA, is a plus
• Proven knowledge in financial reporting, financial analysis & inventory management, financial software, Microsoft suite, and statistical analysis package
• Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication skills
• Highly confidential with good integrity
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and result-oriented environment
• Ability to work in a team and multitask
• Client relationship and engagement skills
