We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Tradefair – Ojo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, and complying with relevant laws and regulations.
  • The role involves preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Monitor spending and budgets to assist management with financial planning.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with statutory deductions.
  • Maintain general ledger entries and conduct month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare tax returns, VAT filings, and assist with external audits.
  • Generate financial reports for management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary
N200,000 / month
