We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting decision-making through timely financial reporting.
  • The role includes bookkeeping, reconciliations, tax compliance, and assisting with budgeting and audits. The Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in line with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and filing deadlines.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and ensure proper depreciation accounting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring provision of accurate documentation.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Provide timely financial data and insights to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification or progress toward one (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • High attention to detail and integrity.
