PC Place is a Nigerian retailer specializing in computers, electronics, and accessories, with both an online store and physical locations. The company’s head office is located in Ikeja, Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant (Male)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and finalize financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management and stakeholders.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing and managing company budgets and forecasting future financial performance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records by entering and managing all financial transactions.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments and optimize cash reserves.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle payroll activities, including calculating salaries, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Software & Systems: Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Compliance: Ensure financial operations are in compliance with accounting standards, laws, and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify key insights, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Understanding of LIRS, FIRS, TAX, PAYE.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and accuracy in handling financial records.
  • Integrity: Exceptional ethical conduct and trustworthiness in managing sensitive financial information.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and explain discrepancies in financial data and performance.
  • Education: Typically requires an accounting degree or related field.
  • Professional Qualification: Often, professional certifications (like a ACA) is an added advantage.
