Job Title: Architect

Location: Mushin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and development of building projects.
  • The role ensures that all architectural designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, safety codes, and organizational quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning:

  • Develop architectural concepts, drawings, and detailed designs for buildings and structures.
  • Prepare 2D/3D models, renderings, and presentation materials.
  • Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and health & safety standards.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and project managers.
  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and coordination sessions.
  • Update drawings and specifications based on feedback and evolving project needs.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with design intent.

Documentation:

  • Produce architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction documents.
  • Prepare planning and permit submissions to authorities.
  • Maintain organized documentation and version control for all design materials.

Construction Oversight:

  • Conduct periodic site visits to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
  • Provide technical clarifications, resolve site issues, and update drawings when required.
  • Review shop drawings, material submissions, and samples for compliance.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all architectural work aligns with organizational quality standards.
  • Identify risks and propose design solutions to prevent construction challenges.
  • Adhere to HSE guidelines and promote safe design practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 3 – 7 years’ experience (adjust based on level: junior/mid/senior).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or EPC-related projects (specify as needed).
