We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Accountant / Commercial Officer (Bakery / Table Water Operations)

Location: Ota, Ogun

Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant/Commercial Officerto join our team and support our bakery operations.
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong financial acumen, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to analyze the core functions of the business, while providing actionable insights into cash flow, financial performance and commercial duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day accounting transactions
  • Prepare accurate budget forecasts
  • Publish timely financial statements
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely and accurate bank transactions
  • Prepare monthly payroll and generate payslips
  • Compute taxes and handle tax returns/filings
  • Maintain accurate balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Provide reports on financial health, performance, and liquidity
  • Audit financial transactions and maintain proper documentation
  • Uphold confidentiality of financial data and ensure regular data backups
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Support the management of vendor/distributors relationships and processing of payments.
  • Handle general administrative tasks related to the finance,commercial and marketing departments.
  • Handle all statutory filings and corporate compliance including NAFDAC, SON etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ICAN certification or progress toward it is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience required
  • Must be honest, trustworthy, and highly dependable
  • Proven experience working as an Accountant in abakery settingis required
  • Strong understanding of accounting regulations and GAAP principles
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial tracking and data analysis
  • Solid knowledge of general ledger functions
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Must reside in or around Sango-Ota, Ogun State, candidates in close proximity to Sango Ota shall be considered.

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 per month (depending on candidates experience).
