Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods including cakes, pastries, breads, and cookies.
  • Decorate cakes and baked items using various techniques (e.g., buttercream, fondant, piping).
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and aesthetic presentation of all baked goods.
  • Create custom cake designs based on client specifications and special occasions.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal menu items.
  • Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure product quality.
  • Manage multiple custom orders and deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking stations, tools, and equipment.
  • Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree
  • 4 – 7 years of hands-on experience as a Baker and Cake Decorator in a professional kitchen or bakery.
  • Proficient in a range of baking and decorating styles (e.g., fondant work, buttercream, piping).
  • Strong creativity and attention to detail in both design and flavor execution.
  • Ability to handle high order volumes and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent understanding of ingredient functionality and baking science.
  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Culinary or baking certification is an added advantage.
