We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bike Dispatch Rider

Location: Calabar, Cross River

Job Overview

  • A Bike Dispatch Rider (delivery agent) is responsible for transporting goods and packages from a certain location to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • The role involves handling and delivering various types of items, ensuring they are delivered safely, and providing excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities
Pick-up and Delivery:

  • Collect goods or packages from a location.
  • Deliver items to customers at specified addresses
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of packages.

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers during deliveries.
  • Confirm receipt of deliveries by obtaining customer signatures on delivery notes.
  • Address any customer inquiries or issues related to deliveries.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including time, date, and recipient details.
  • Report any delivery discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries.
  • Handle packages with care to avoid damage.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out routine and basic maintenance on the bike.

Route Planning:

  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Use GPS or other navigation tools to locate addresses and plan routes.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have at least finished Secondary school.
  • Candidate must have a valid rider’s license
  • Familiarity with GPS and navigation tools.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience in a delivery or courier role is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of local area and routes.
  • Basic knowledge of bike maintenance.

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours is from 8am to 6pm daily during week days. 10am – 5pm on Saturdays and some holidays.
  • Job involves spending long hours driving and delivering packages.
