Job Description
University of Port Harcourt was established in 1975 as a College of the University of Lagos and gained full autonomous status in 1977. The University is a Centre of Academic Excellence with a mandate to provide qualitative and research oriented education in the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large.
The University of Port Harcourt, is an entrepreneurial University acting in consonance with the regulations of the National University Commission (NUC). The University of Port Harcourt was established in 1975 and is situated in Choba/Aluu town in Rivers State, Nigeria in the South-South geo-political zone.Currently, the University has one (1) College, twelve (12) Faculties, and seven (3) Schools.

Requirements
- Candidates must possess an Honours Degree (minimum of 22) plus ACA or CAN, NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate with at least 12 years cognate experience in Public/Private Sector Accounting.
- Candidates must possess an HND (with at least Upper Credit) in Accountancy from a recognized Higher Institution, plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate and either ACA or CNA with at least 12 years cognate experience in Public/Private Sector Accounting.
- By direct appointment of a candidate possessing a Master’s Degree in Accounting, plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate with at least 9 years cognate experience in Public/Private Sector Accounting plus ACA or CNA
